Job DescriptionMAXISIQ has an immediate opening for a Senior Linux Engineer with expertise in network design, architectures, and operations to work as part of a collaborative, multidiscipline team in support of the US Government providing expertise in the field of network engineering.
What you will be doing:
- Designing and implementing an integrated Linux and network infrastructure to support unique mission.
- Conveying technical designs, ideas and results to non-technical audiences and providing briefings to government personnel.
- Candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance. An active Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) is strongly preferred.
- Ten (10) years of related experience.
- Must have knowledge of Linux virtual networking: bridges, bonds, veths, socat, network namespaces.
- Must have knowledge of Linux scripting: Ansible, Puppet, BASH or python.
- Must have knowledge of Cisco Switches: VLANs, vPC, port-channels.
- Must have knowledge of Cisco Routers: basic routing, preferred knowledge of EIGRP and IPSEC
- Knowledge of NFS and NetApp file servers
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within small and large groups
- Capable of preparing and presenting briefings
- Experience with Microsoft Office product line, including Microsoft Access
