Senior Linux Engineer (Hybrid)

This is a HYBRID role in Manassas, Va that requires on-call availability and occasional weekend work.

In this role you will:

• Work with the Product Owner and Squad members to test, configure, build and maintain on-prem RHEL platform automation in line with agreed requirements
• Work with your team to implement and operate your solutions
• Drive and lead solutions from conceptualization to realization, i.e., Design, Development, Test/Qualify, Deploy, and Support / Maintain
• Deploy infrastructure and software according to our change management processes
• Implement custom OS security profiles
• Provide L2 operational support for RHEL infrastructure components
• Collaborate with our internal and external customers following DevOps/Agile principles and standard methodologies.
• Track and detail the progress of our services (systems/applications/procedures) as they evolve.
• Collaborate and engage with other internal teams to ensure outstanding customer happiness.
• Handle issues always focusing on continuous improvement
• Automate, educate, and share knowledge clearly.
• Be working in an office-first hybrid work model

We are seeking professionals with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. 5+ years of experience in building and supporting RHEL platform running on both virtual machines for a large Enterprise.
• Strong IT knowledge on Linux platforms including RHEL– Proficiency with OS commands, disk volumes and kernel knowledge.
• Good knowledge of Networking and TCP/IP
• Experience deploying OS and Applications via automation tools like Ansible
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrade activities using Ansible Controller and Red Hat Satellite
• Experience in writing shell scripts, Ansible playbooks for System Admin tasks
• Experience in configuration management Orchestration (Cloudbees)
• Experience on CI/CD build and deploy tools (GIT/Bitbucket) (2+years
• Experience in VMware operations like templates, snapshot, managing/building new VMs
• Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools like vRA / vRO

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in New York is $92,120 MINIMUM to MAXIMUM $171,080 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
