Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Hybrid 5 days onsite; 5 days remote rotation)
The RoleAdvanced Process Solutions is an organization focused on process automation tools and technologies for Fidelity’s critical business processes and driving significant improvements in those processes – both local to individual businesses and cross-enterprise. This role is a key driver in matching the ideal process improvement tools and techniques to individual process optimization opportunities.
Within Advanced Process Solutions, the Systems Engineering team is responsible for infrastructure solutions, automation, application deployments, monitoring and production support.
We are looking for a highly motivated associate with expertise in engineering and production operations. As a Systems Engineer, you will work closely with engineering teams to deploy applications and customer support and business teams to coordinate incident response. You will also work with enterprise infrastructure teams to maintain and support on-prem non-production and production infrastructure.
The Skills and Expertise You Bring:Bachelors’ Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
5+ years of systems administration
Demonstrated expertise in Linux systems administration experience required.
Experience supporting large production implementations
Experience supporting Apache Tomcat applications.
Pipeline automation and orchestration utilizing the following stack or like GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory, Kubernetes
Developing Internet based applications that operate in a client/server environment desirable.
Application development experience desirable, e.g. Shell scripting, Python.
Coordinate timely resolution of problem tickets, incident tickets and security findings with engineering teams
Excellent communication skills required
Strong problem resolution skills required
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment required
System Administration in Linux (RHEL preferred)
Develop monitoring and management tools and processes
Accurately estimate work requirements and create detailed plans
Document processes and best practices
Communicate effectively in team environment
Identify departmental needs and make suggestions regarding technical direction
Participate in an on-call rotation
Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
