Job Description
The Senior Lender CRE is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial lending clients and developing new business relationships. They work closely with borrowers to understand their financing needs and evaluate the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a portfolio of commercial lending clients, including managing existing loan relationships, monitoring loan performance, and conducting regular credit reviews.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting for new clients, analyzing potential borrowers' financial statements, and assessing credit risk.
- Evaluate loan applications, financial statements, and other relevant documents to determine creditworthiness and assess appropriate loan structures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients, acting as their primary point of contact for all lending needs.
- Ensure loan compliance with established lending policies and procedures, conduct regular loan reviews, and manage any potential loan delinquencies or defaults.
- Work closely with other departments, such as credit administration, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless loan origination and servicing processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry and market trends to identify lending opportunities and potential risks.
- Ensure all lending activities comply with relevant banking regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management on portfolio performance, client relationships, and business development activities.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial lending or a related field, with a focus on commercial Real Estate lending.
- Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers and analyze financial statements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of credit and lending principles, as well as relevant banking regulations and guidelines.
