Senior legal counsel

As a Senior legal counsel you will act as a legal business partner and strategic advisor to diverse stakeholders on various aspects of corporate law, securities law and financial market transactions.

We are looking for a senior legal counsel to strengthen the Corporate & ESG Team. As part of the Corporate & ESG Team you will be involved in a wide area of corporate matters. This includes being part of deal teams and advising on various topics of corporate law, securities law and financial market transactions relevant to a dual listed, globally operating company.

Furthermore, you will be advising the business on (strategic) matters and working on special corporate projects such as M&A transactions or corporate restructurings. The role involves working with colleagues all over the world, from factory floor to (executive) management often in close collaboration with colleagues from Finance, Tax, Accounting and Treasury.

You will act as a true business partner, and will have regular contacts with ASML’s business stakeholders, as well as various external parties. The Senior Legal Counsel - Corporate will be based in Veldhoven (NL) and will report to the Head of Legal – Corporate & ESG.

In this position, you will interact with diverse stakeholders on all levels within ASML.  You have a strong business sense, the ability to connect and manage people and to look beyond the legal scope. You are highly motivated, proactive and pragmatic, with sound business judgment and a multicultural and multidisciplinary experience and understanding. The ideal candidate will have:

• A Master in Dutch Law.

• At least 8 years of experience as a lawyer in a challenging business environment, including law firm experience.

• Relevant experience in the field of corporate law, ideally in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and/or financial law.

• Relevant in-house experience is a pre.

• Fluent in English orally as well as in writing.

• Tech-savviness is a plus.
