We are seeking an experienced and business-oriented Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance across corporate, commercial, and data privacy matters. The ideal candidate will have 4–10 years of relevant legal experience, with strong expertise in Corporate Law and Data Privacy. This role will work closely with business, leadership, finance, HR, technology, and other cross-functional teams to identify legal risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business objectives.

The successful candidate should be capable of independently handling complex legal matters, translating legal requirements into practical business solutions, and managing relationships with external legal advisors when required.


RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate law, commercial transactions, contracts, and general business matters.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements including service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, partnership agreements, licensing arrangements, and other commercial documents.
  • Advise management on corporate governance, statutory requirements, regulatory obligations, and legal risks.
  • Support corporate restructuring, investments, strategic partnerships, and other corporate transactions as required.
  • Develop and maintain standard legal templates, policies, processes, and contractual frameworks.
  • Lead and manage data privacy and protection matters, ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.
  • Advise internal teams on the collection, processing, storage, transfer, retention, and deletion of personal data.
  • Review privacy-related clauses in contracts and assist with data processing agreements, privacy policies, and vendor assessments.
  • Monitor changes in corporate, commercial, technology, and data privacy regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Identify potential legal and compliance risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal requirements are incorporated into business processes and product initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external counsel on specialized legal matters, disputes, regulatory issues, and transactions when necessary.
  • Support legal due diligence, audits, compliance reviews, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of legal agreements, corporate documents, and regulatory filings.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent legal qualification; additional legal specialization is a plus.
  • 4–10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with exposure to corporate and commercial environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Corporate Law and corporate governance.
  • Strong understanding of Data Privacy and Data Protection principles and regulations.
  • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and corporate agreements.
  • Strong understanding of contractual risk, liability, indemnification, confidentiality, intellectual property, and regulatory provisions.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal requirements and communicate them clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently and work effectively in a fast-paced business environment.

  • Experience working with technology, SaaS, fintech, or other regulated businesses.
  • Exposure to international data privacy frameworks and cross-border data transfers.
  • Experience managing external law firms and legal service providers.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and technology-related legal issues.
