What are we looking for?
SentinelOne is looking for an experienced attorney to join our SentinelOne legal team as a Senior Legal Counsel, Product. This role is critical in providing strategic legal guidance on technology, product development and intellectual property in a fast paced, high-growth environment. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional leaders to integrate legal considerations into all stages of product development, from ideation to launch. This position is essential in supporting the company’s growth objectives by ensuring that our products are compliant, innovative, and aligned with our strategic vision.
What will you do?
- Product Roadmap and Cross-functional Collaboration - Document and implement legal strategies to support the company’s product roadmap and development and provide practical and actionable advice related to technology, privacy, products and intellectual property to advance the SentinelOne’s business goals while proactively managing legal risk. Effectively inform and partner with the legal leadership team on key objectives.
- Risk and Privacy Management - Proactively identify and mitigate legal risks associated with product development, including intellectual property, export control, data security, and AI.
- Draft terms of service, disclosures and policies and help implement related processes; review and counsel on open source matters.
- Contract and Negotiation Strategy - Draft, review, and negotiate complex OEM and technology integration agreements.
- Training and Education - Help design and deliver training programs for product and engineering teams to enhance their understanding of key legal issues.
What skills and knowledge should you bring?
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school or equivalent, with an active license to practice law in a U.S. state.
- A minimum of 7-10+ years of legal experience, with at least 3 years in the technology sector.
- Significant in-house experience advising on data privacy/protection and the legal and regulatory aspects of product development in the technology space.
- Experience working proactively, independently and reliably under tight time frames in a fast-paced environment; excellent business judgment and client counseling skills.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to influence and drive change across cross-functional teams; and a passion for technology and ability to understand complex technology and product use cases quickly.
- Strong communication skills, growth-mindset, collaborative approach, humility and a sense of humor.
Preferred Experience: - Cybersecurity and/or AI experience
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property law and experience with patent portfolio management
- Experience with Jira, Asana and other project management solutions

This U.S. role has a base pay range that will vary based on the location of the candidate. For some
locations, a different pay range may apply. If so, this range will be provided to you during the recruiting

Base Salary Range
$176,000—$242,000 USD
