We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will be a law graduate from the UK, Europe, or Australia with prior experience working in an IT company. Candidates with expertise in Fintech products, KYC, AML, GDPR compliance, and regulatory frameworks will be preferred.
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance, mitigating risks, and advising on regulatory matters related to our SaaS-based Fintech solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert legal counsel on IT, Fintech, and SaaS-related matters, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including software agreements, NDAs, data protection policies, and vendor agreements.
- Ensure GDPR, AML, KYC, and other financial regulatory compliance for the company’s operations and products.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Compliance, Engineering) to assess legal risks in product development.
- Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and assist in obtaining necessary approvals/licenses.
- Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments for partnerships, M&A, and cross-border transactions.
- Keep up to date with global Fintech regulations and proactively adapt company policies accordingly.
- Lead dispute resolution and litigation matters related to IT contracts and regulatory compliance.
✅ Education: Law degree (LLB or higher) from the UK, Europe, or Australia (Mandatory).
✅ Experience: Minimum 5+ years in a legal role within an IT company (Mandatory).
✅ Expertise in: Fintech regulations, AML, KYC, GDPR, software licensing, SaaS contracts, and commercial agreements.
✅ Strong knowledge of: International data privacy laws, cybersecurity regulations, and IT compliance.
✅ Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills.
✅ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
🔹 Prior experience working with Fintech products or regulatory bodies.
🔹 Understanding of cross-border legal frameworks for IT and Fintech businesses.
🔹 Familiarity with Pakistan’s financial and IT regulations.
