As a Senior Legal Counsel, you are in charge of a portfolio of contracts relating to products and services marketed by the group: mainly raw materials, excipients and starting materials for ATMPs in cell and & gene therapies, plasmid/protein manufacturing services, plasmid engineering services, cell culture services and GMP batch manufacturing services for cell therapy.
You act as a business partner in providing legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of operational matters.
You directly report to the Legal Director for Polyplus group (Polyplus/Bio Elpida/Xpress Biologics) based in Illkirch.

Regarding the marketing of our products and services (whether research-grade or GMP-grade), to draft, negotiate and review, in support of the global Sales team, a wide range of commercial contracts such as Supply Agreements, Master Service Agreements, T&C,

To contractually frame the research and development of innovative products/services by drafting, negotiating and reviewing agreements, in collaboration with R&D, BD and Product Development teams, such as Material Transfer Agreements, Collaboration Agreements, License Agreements (in/out), but also by contractually securing beta-test programs and related activities,

To contractually frame the manufacture and shipment of our products and services by drafting, negotiating and reviewing Subcontracting Agreements, Suppliers’ T&C, Purchasing Agreements and Logistics Agreements,

Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of legal topics (distribution, manufacturing, marketing, logistics, etc.) to internal stakeholders,

Conduct legal research on various topics in relation with our business activities and the development and marketing of our products and services,

Liaise with external business partners and counsels.
What will convince us
-
Expertise in commercial law, contract law and ideally Intellectual property law
-
Minimum 8 years as an in-house legal counsel in biotechnology industry and GMP environment

Good knowledge of the field of innovative products and raw materials for ATMP is a big plus
-
Master’s degree in law from a French University (Bac + 5)

Fluency in French and English on a business level
