Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel and Ethics, Risk & Compliance (ERC) Associate to provide expert legal counsel and ERC support to our business functions. This role involves acting as a trusted legal advisor and business partner, negotiating contracts, managing litigation, and offering guidance on complex legal issues.

Major Accountabilities:

• Serve as a legal and ERC business partner to the Country Head, overseeing contractual negotiations and statutory obligations.

• Independently draft and review complex transactions and contracts, providing nuanced legal advice and guidance across various functions, including business partnering, marketing, and retail.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with business activities, raising awareness of legal issues and ensuring early legal involvement.

• Conduct thorough risk assessments to support management decision-making processes.

• Manage significant disputes, litigation, and investigations, making independent decisions within a broad framework.

• Lead, direct, and develop the legal resources within Sandoz.

• Ensure timely reporting of technical complaints, adverse events, special case scenarios related to Sandoz products within 24 hours of receipt and oversee the distribution of marketing samples where applicable.

• Ensure compliance with reporting obligations.
