Responsible for all commercial and corporate legal matters in the APAC region where Nexperia operates, with a specific focus on Nexperia’s activities in Malaysia and the Philippines.
What you will do
- Support corporate projects related to Nexperia’s expansion plans in Malaysia and the Philippines, including local procurement and site-specific matters.
- Provide corporate legal support across all Nexperia companies in the APAC region, including setting up new companies, corporate housekeeping and ESG.
- Provide HR legal support, including company matters with local trade unions.
- Manage disputes, litigation and claims handling, such as matters involving distributors and local suppliers.
- Handle commercial contracting in APAC, including sales, distributor and supply contracts.
- Manage outside legal counsel and legal spend.
What you will need
- 6–10 years of relevant experience as a commercial/corporate lawyer or in-house legal counsel, with readiness to further apply and deepen expertise in an international environment.
- A truly international mindset.
- A completed university degree in law.
- Strong knowledge of and experience in corporate law in an international setting, gained at a leading law firm and/or a multinational company.
- Experience working closely with Finance, Treasury and/or Tax departments.
- Litigation experience is considered an advantage.
- Proven experience working with senior management stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel to Seremban twice a week.
