HealthPartners is hiring a Senior Learning Specialist, Epic. The Senior Learning Specialist designs, delivers, and maintains end user training on assigned products. The person in this position provides in-person and virtual training and assistance to physicians and staff to support correct utilization and optimization of the technology. This position also builds, tests and maintains the training environments used for training and support of their respective products.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training/healthcare experience in lieu of degree
    • 6 years of experience in IT or training
    • 1 years of experience working with the Epic system
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Strong presentation, facilitation skills and public speaking experience
    • Strong leadership, organizational, team building and project management skills
    • Ability to foster and maintain relationships throughout all levels of the organization
    • Proven skills in organizing, planning and implementing process changes
    • Strong analytical ability to assess situations and choose effective solutions
    • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to influence and lead
    • Ability to develop plans and implement appropriate actions
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities, ambiguity, continuous change and stressful situations
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Learns and follows Agile values and principles

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  

  1. Develops and maintains end user training to support predefined learning objectives and promote end user learning and system acceptance
  2. Completes prep work for classes, including coordinating logistics, timing and scheduling of classes, and participant registration/attendance tracking in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  3. Maintains training rooms and resources
  4. Resolves how-to ticket requests and partners with other teams to reduce their root cause.
  5. Participates in organizational meetings as a content and workflow expert
  6. Modifies Epic training environments to accurately reflect the Production environment in order to provide realistic and comprehensive trainings of the Epic application(s)
  7. Communicates training policies and procedures across the organization
  8. Interacts with operational and clinical leaders on a regular basis to understand and support their goals
  9. Participates on projects to create and deliver training content, perform workflow and system designs, participate in testing, and provide on-site go-live support
  10. Monitors training feedback and metrics and modifies training and/or approach as needed to meet learners’ needs and expectations
  11. Trains others on the team
  12. Creates, documents and uses best practices for learning software, content management, and communications
  13. Identifies new technology, opportunities for automation, and other improvements to customer and internal workflows
  14. Performs other duties as assigned
  15. Adds, modifies and creates reports on content in the Learning Management System (LMS) and uses them to answer questions for stakeholders and identify opportunities for changes to classes.
