What you will do
Supporting Johnson Controls’ Data Center Solutions group and working closely with the Manager of Lean and Continuous Improvement (CI), you will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Lean transformation strategy across the organization. You will be a change agent with a fundamental understanding of Lean methodologies and tools, as well as Continuous Improvement principles and will support continuous improvement, waste reduction, and process optimization initiatives and for driving cultural and behavioral changes that support a lean transformation journey enabling the organization to achieve sustainable success. You will be part of the team that ensures that we achieve Lean and continuous improvement goals set in partnership with plant leadership team, staff member, production teams and shop floor employees while providing training to production teams, executing Lean workshops and Kaizen events, and documenting and reporting results.

How you will do it

Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: drive waste reduction and process optimization through Gemba walks, Kaizen events, and targeted improvement projects to enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Identify and Eliminate Waste: analyze business processes to reduce variability, improve efficiency, and integrate Lean strategies, such as Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis, within the organizational framework.

Educate and Empower Employees: facilitate training workshops and implement systems to build a culture of continuous improvement, empowering employees at all levels to drive innovation and meaningful change.
What we look for
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing setting.

6+ years of experience with a proven track record in Lean methodologies (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban) and Continuous Improvement tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis).

Strong leadership capabilities to guide teams and coach employees in adopting Lean and Continuous Improvement practices.

Demonstrated skills in analyzing processes, identifying opportunities, and implementing effective solutions to drive organizational transformation.

Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences, with experience managing multiple projects and leading large-scale Lean initiatives.
