Designs innovative leadership development solutions and programs that include a blended learning approach. Collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to create measurable objectives for learning solutions that emphasize and reflect adult learning principles and accelerated learning techniques. Designs, develops, and infuses a two-fold coaching and leadership framework across EMC. Develops and conducts training for people leaders and individual contributors on the tenants of effective coaching. Creates performance-based large scale training solutions for all team members companywide, and complex and targeted trainings.
Essential Functions:
Designs innovative leadership development solutions and programs that include a blended learning approach such as coaching, classroom training, action learning and e-learning using a variety of delivery modalities and technologies for internal stakeholders as well as occasional external audiences.
Collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to create measurable objectives for learning solutions that emphasize and reflect adult learning principles and accelerated learning techniques.
Customizes the information to all levels and styles of learners to enhance learning outcomes. Creates and maintains project plans, communication plans, stakeholder and risk analysis and other project management deliverables.
Supports strategic initiatives across the talent pipeline which may include succession planning, talent learning journeys, and skill development.
Partners with the DE&I Office to help deliver strategic initiatives designed to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion at EMC.
Liaises with HRBPs to ensure strategic alignment of leadership curriculum across enterprise.
Researches effective leadership development industry trends and supporting resources and makes recommendations to leader on what would benefit EMC.
Develops, implements, or modifies existing trainings to incorporate new trends and research
Designs, develops, and infuses a two-fold coaching and leadership framework across EMC.
Builds a coaching toolkit that will enable all team members with access to relevant and user-friendly coaching collateral.
Develops and conducts training for people leaders and individual contributorson the tenants of effective coaching
Creates performance-based large scale training solutions for all team members companywide, and complex and targeted trainings.
Works with business partners and key stakeholders to implement developed solutions.
Develops and produces training modules, learning paths, instructor guides, job aids, and support materials for classroom, instructor-led, online and blended learning using a variety of instructional techniques (such as coaching, lectures, group discussion, team exercises, role playing, videos and multimedia).
Conducts a systematic evaluation of existing training programs to ensure they meet company needs.
Proactively identifies human performance gaps and consults with business leaders, subject-matter experts, and other stakeholders to identify and define performance-based needs for learning interventions that are effective in meeting both learner and business needs.
Designs learning programs for reinforcement and measurement. Continuously measures the effectiveness and impact of learning solutions and implements enhancements accordingly to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
Ten years of experience in corporate learning, which includes needs assessment, design and delivery of training programs
Certifications in skilled facilitation, instruction design and coaching preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Excellent knowledge of adult learning theory, with the ability to apply that knowledge to impactful learning solutions
Excellent analytical ability to measure impact of training programs, initiatives, and learning solutions
Strong knowledge of training solutions targeted at leaders
Strong knowledge of learning technologies that include computer-based learning, multimedia material, learning management system and rapid authoring tools
Excellent knowledge of complex instructional design
Excellent ability in applying learning technologies for the enhancement of facilitation, learning and assessments
Ability to work in fast-paced and agile environment
Ability to build trust with business leaders, stakeholders and team members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, learning management system, as well as authoring and virtual tools
Occasional travel required; a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards will be required if driving
The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $90,635.00 - $124,914.00 range or the $99,924.00 - $137,714.00 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
