In this role, you will:
- Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence platform support solutions for highly complex business and technical needs or technology initiatives
- Lead highly complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high-level systems consultation for the technology teams related to large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional areas
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
- Translate advanced technology experience, in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
- Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommend innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
- Provide training and mentoring to less experienced team members on guidebook changes and lead team to meet technical deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- 7+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 6+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Technology Product Ownership.
- 6+ years of Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management.
- 6+ years with CI/CD, observability tools, automation frameworks, and enterprise infrastructure.
- 6+ years' experience leading cross-functional teams and deliver complex technical products.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in React and its ecosystem (Redux, React Router, etc.).
- Familiarity with Selenium, Playwright, and/or Cypress for automated testing.
- Experience supporting both in-house and commercial off-the-shelf software.
- Self-starter with curiosity to learn new technologies and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies
Product Ownership & Strategy
- Define and evolve the product vision for systems operations platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
- Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and fixes based on business impact, technical feasibility, and stakeholder input.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business teams to translate operational needs into actionable product requirements.
- Lead initiatives to improve system reliability, observability, and automation across infrastructure and application layers.
- Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise change management and release protocols.
