The Role
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Strategy and Planning Consultant to bridge the gap between business objectives, process integration and technology solutions within our global supply chain operations. This position is responsible for driving multi-year transformation of the Source-to-Pay (S2P) function within Supply Chain Management. The role combines strategic product management, operational leadership, and consulting expertise to drive significant changes across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of business acumen, process redesign expertise, and technical fluency to drive transformation across the source to pay and third-party risk management lifecycle.
This position addresses the growing complexity and strategic importance of Source-to-Pay (S2P) operations, ensuring the organization remains competitive, compliant and able to respond effectively to evolving business needs.
This position will complete current state assessment of operating model and document findings, including process maps and performance metrics, and areas for improvement. Design and develop target state operating model in collaboration with business leaders, develop implementation roadmap.
In this role, you will:
  • Guiding Transformation Projects: The position oversees the planning and execution of multi-year initiatives aimed at redesigning S2P processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Managing Outsourcing Activities: It is accountable for identifying opportunities to leverage external service providers, integrating outsourcing strategies into the operating model, and managing relationships with third-party vendors to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Advising Supply Chain Leadership: Acting as a trusted advisor, the role provides expert guidance to procurement and supply chain teams, helping them navigate complex changes and adopt new ways of working.
  • Supporting Lines of Business: The position ensures that S2P services meet the needs of the lines of business, fostering collaboration and consistency across the enterprise.
  • Driving Innovation and Continuous Improvement: By introducing advanced methodologies and tools, the role promotes ongoing improvement in processes, technology, and stakeholder engagement.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in a multi-year change and transformation to deliver target state operating model, including outsourcing oversight
  • Expertise in supply chain management, procurement, sourcing, or finance operations, with a strong understanding of global trends and best practices in overseeing and implementing outsourcing arrangements.
  • Experience in working with Third-party providers from contracting through payment for services.
  • Strong experience in designing and delivering change initiatives, with proven success in change management and operational transformation.
  • Experience in working in a highly matrixed organization and consistently achieving positive outcomes through collaboration and partnership
  • Demonstrated experience working in ambiguous and fast paced environment.
  • Drive Source to Pay integration with other operating environments
  • Deliver executive-level progress, metrics reflecting the transformation and drive alignment for target state technology and process design
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management, dependency management, and Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum), with practical experience applying these frameworks to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
