Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Risk Analytics Consultant for the Data Management & Maintenance (DMM) - Data Controls team within Market & Counterparty Risk Management (MCRM). The Data Controls team is responsible for performing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly control processes monitoring completeness and accuracy of the data within the MCRM data domains. Team members have a breadth of experience spanning risk management, middle office, finance, accounting, operations, regulatory capital, stress testing, and possess solid technical skills. Key responsibilities include various technical reconciliations (position population oversight and monitoring), financial reconciliations (position level, legal entity, line of business, product type, accounting classification), data quality (exception monitoring, data element and control checks, remediation and issue tracking), and risk system processing and maintenance (risk views and rollups, risk hierarchy, legal entity structure, inventory mapping). This role will also have a strong focus on strategic initiatives to enhance risk data, supporting infrastructure, and alignment across enterprise platforms.

In this role, you will:
- Act as an advisor to experienced leadership to develop, influence, and interpret analysis for monitoring and oversight of portfolio and deliver insight and decision strategies, with long term goals for highly complex business analysis and modeling companywide
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring strategic, advanced analytical, inductive thinking, and performance monitoring
- Extract data to provide statistical and financial modeling companywide, delivering solutions that are long term, large scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, companywide strategies
- Engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide
- Act as an expert advisor to experienced leadership
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, be highly organized, prioritize multiple tasks, and take on new challenges
- Proficiency with SQL
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles: general ledger reconciliation
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong understanding of capital market products, and experience with financial and accounting concepts and reporting tools (e.g. Essbase, IRIS, G/L)
- Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
- Experience with data governance principles and practices
- Experience with process and control documentation
- Audit or internal controls testing experience
