Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Product Manager to drive the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of Merchant Services products. In this role, you will:
- Own and drive the end-to-end success of third-party payment gateway partnerships, including strategy, commercialization, operational readiness, client adoption, and long-term growth.
- Influence executive stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver payment solutions that meet client needs while achieving business objectives.
- Lead complex vendor and partner relationships, ensuring accountability, service excellence, contractual compliance, and roadmap alignment.
- Champion customer-centric product innovation by translating enterprise client requirements into scalable payment solutions and strategic product enhancements.
- Drive strategic growth initiatives across payment acceptance products while balancing risk, operational readiness, and client experience.
- Articulate product vision, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish goals, and provide direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver technology and processes for updating, upgrading technologies and vendor relationships.
- Engage with leaders, stakeholders, subject matter experts, scrum masters, project managers and delivery team companywide.
- Serve as an adept advisor to leadership.
- 7+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or agile product owner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Proven expertise in Merchant Services, including merchant acquiring, payment processing, portfolio management, and payment technology solutions.
- Deep expertise across the payment's ecosystem, including payment gateways, orchestrators, processors, acquirers, card networks, tokenization, fraud management, settlement, and digital payment infrastructure.
- Proven experience launching, managing, and commercializing payment products and services, including payment gateways, digital wallets, ACH solutions, recurring billing, invoicing, tokenization, and e-commerce payment platforms.
- Experience serving as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, external partners, and third-party payment providers to drive product enhancements, issue resolution, roadmap execution, and strategic partnership alignment.
- Proven success commercializing and scaling payment solutions through strategic partnerships, reseller channels, and enterprise go-to-market initiatives.
- Deep understanding of complex payment ecosystems, including support for large enterprise clients across e-commerce, omnichannel, government, healthcare, utilities, and B2B payment environments.
- Knowledge of payment technologies and platforms such as CyberSource, Visa Acceptance Solutions, FIS, and related payment processing, gateway, and acceptance solutions.
- Strong background supporting and optimizing third-party payment gateway solutions such as CyberSource, Authorize.net, Stripe, Adyen, Worldpay, Fiserv, and similar enterprise payment technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to drive payment modernization initiatives by aligning product strategy, customer needs, and market opportunities with scalable payment capabilities and revenue-generating solutions.
- Deep understanding of payment operations, transaction flows, security requirements, fraud mitigation, and merchant acceptance strategies across complex payment environments.
- Experience developing business cases, product strategies, pricing models, adoption plans, and commercialization frameworks that drive revenue growth and client adoption.
- Strong knowledge of PCI compliance, payment security, fraud management, tokenization, digital payments, and emerging payment technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs, business requirements, and market opportunities into scalable product capabilities, prioritized roadmaps, and successful delivery plans.
- Experience leading large-scale transformation programs and managing multiple concurrent initiatives across product, technology, operations, and business teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights, strategic recommendations, and measurable outcomes.
- Proven ability to influence and lead within highly matrixed organizations, building strong partnerships across stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills, with experience presenting complex operational, technical, and business concepts to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
