The Role
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Digital Product Manager within the Marketing & Sales Platform team to lead new enterprise Generative AI capabilities - Surface & Orchestration. Surface will serve as the central UI ("copilot") for campaign managers to design, test, approve, and deploy marketing campaigns, while an orchestration layer coordinates a set of downstream AI agents that handle audience targeting, creative generation, channel activation, compliance checks, and performance insights. These capabilities will be an integral part of our overall GenAI Marketing strategy - Future Autonomous Marketing.
As a product owner, you will drive complex feature delivery across Surface and its Orchestration layer, translating business needs into actionable requirements and partnering deeply with engineering, data science, design, marketing, compliance, and risk.
In this role, you will:
  • Own and evolve the product strategy and roadmap for Surface and the Orchestration layer, ensuring each feature aligns to end-to-end campaign workflows-from brief and ideation through deployment and post-launch optimization.
  • Define, prioritize, and sequence the backlog for high-impact, cross-functional capabilities, translating marketing and operational needs into well-formed epics, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria. This includes shaping UX requirements for campaign managers and marketing operations.
  • Partner tightly with engineering, data science, AI/ML, analytics, and design teams to lead agile delivery-driving refinement, sprint execution, release planning, incident response, and continuous improvement across Surface and Orchestration components.
  • Build and advance the orchestration layer that coordinates downstream AI agents responsible for audience selection, segmentation, creative generation, channel activation and flighting, compliance and brand safety checks, and performance insights-ensuring seamless end-to-end campaign execution.
  • Ensure enterprise-grade reliability, observability, and governance by supporting SLAs, telemetry, red-teaming, evaluation harnesses, model risk management, privacy/PII safeguards, prompt logging, and human-in-the-loop review workflows.
  • Drive ongoing discovery and user research, building strong feedback loops with marketers, power users, and partner teams; incorporate insights into iterative product improvements, UX refinements, and backlog adjustments.
  • Collaborate across Marketing, MarTech/AdTech, Legal/Compliance, Risk, and InfoSec to ensure compliance with Responsible AI, security, content policy guardrails, and model governance standards required in a regulated enterprise environment.
  • Define, measure, and improve product impact, contributing to KPIs such as adoption, engagement, time-to-launch, operational efficiency, model quality, hallucination rates, and compliance outcomes. Support dashboarding and instrumentation to track effectiveness.
  • Foster a strong agile discipline that inspires teams to continuously improve delivery evidenced through key agility metrics
  • Build frameworks for complex decision making that enable effective debate and accelerate getting to the right answer
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Proven experience with Marketing platforms, representing expertise in successfully implementing complex solutions across the Marketing life cycle
  • Hands-on familiarity with Generative AI platforms (LLMs), agent orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, vector search/RAG, experimentation, and evaluation methods.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated delivery of complex, platform-scale capabilities.
  • Experience writing detailed acceptance criteria and partnering tightly with engineering.
  • Proven ability to operate in a regulated enterprise environment
  • Experience with vector search, RAG, evaluation, and observability tools.

  • Experience supporting human-in-the-loop creative or compliance workflows.
  • Ability to synthesize multi-dimensional, complex, and interrelated concepts into clear, consumable, implications, actions, and decisions
