We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Data Product Management Consultant to drive the strategic direction, roadmap, and operational management of target state BI tools - Tableau, PowerBI, ThoughtSpot and Strategy and broader self-service analytics capabilities. This individual will be responsible for leading product strategy, vendor coordination, release management, license management, and cross-functional engagement to ensure our analytics products deliver maximum business value.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong product management expertise with deep analytics platform understanding and the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams.
In this role, you will:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for BI tools and analytics products.
- Prioritize enhancements, integrations, and capabilities based on business requirements and platform evolution.
- Assess new product features and industry trends to drive innovation and adoption.
- Function as a point of contact and coordination for BI tools external vendors.
- Manage product escalations, enhancement discussions, and release clarifications.
- Provide regular product updates, risks, and insights to leadership.
- Oversee license allocation, usage optimization, and advise on cost allocation methodology.
- Maintain adherence to security, compliance, and access management standards.
- Manage requirement gathering, and prioritization for new product capabilities.
- Contribute to testing, UAT validation, and feature release communications by providing product context, review input, and coordination support.
- Participate in platform issue escalation and communications in collaboration with engineering and vendors.
- Work closely with Business, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and Security teams to deliver product capabilities.
- Enable programs to increase platform adoption.
- Translate complex analytics needs into feasible product solutions.
- Track and report KPIs such as adoption metrics, performance trends, license utilization, and cost efficiency.
- Provide periodic updates to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- 7+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong communication bridging business, engineering, and analytics.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience evaluating and implementing enterprise analytics tools in large-scale, complex product implementations.
- Product lifecycle and delivery experience in roadmap development, prioritization frameworks, and release management
- Experience working in cross-functional enterprise environments.
- Experience managing BI/analytics vendors, licensing, and contracts.
- Experience driving adoption of analytics tools and data products across business users; including training, documentation, and user enablement strategies.
- Experience with cloud platforms implemented in enterprise-scale environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare, etc.)
- Expertise in Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Strategy or similar BI tools
