The Role

Within Wells Fargo the Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL as part of SDI) is a $1.5B business processing more than 11B transactions annually and requires continual maintenance and updates to ensure the performance and operational standards. Wells Fargo is seeking three (3) Senior Lead Product Managers to drive the modernization of systems, processes and controls that are inherent to these critical applications. The individual will require deep knowledge of payment processing, modern design methodologies, and client use cases to lead development teams on a multi-year journey encompassing engagements with tech engineering, product, operations, and controls.  The final product will build upon the existing transformation work and provide a roadmap to integration with core systems that facilitate efficient processing and reduced cost. In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex development initiatives managing all activities in a project life cycle such as initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing that are long-term and cross functional with broad scope, and complexity.
  • Build an ecosystem of platform services requiring the ability to think strategically and work tactically with technology engineering teams in the development of requirements
  • Demonstrate understanding of Agile principles and practices to support leading iterative change and deliver tangible outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, risk and control, technology, and architecture teams to bring products to market and commercialize
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for product enhancements and business requirements
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, technology, and architecture teams to understand and catalog current product features and technology platforms
  • Develop and own platform blueprint and achievable roadmap for target future state
  • Provide ongoing guidance to product teams to ensure alignment to the architecture, maximize common services, re-use, and optimization across the ecosystem
  • Assist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that may include product and organizational transformations, target operating model development, risk mitigation, and process efficiencies
  • Support the business in oversight and execution of key strategic priorities, objectives and key results for the team and the leaders of the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or agile product owner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Direct payments / treasury management experience, including experience with ACH, Real Time Payments, Zelle, cards, and cross-border transactions
  • Project or Program Management experience including tracking complex initiatives, deliverable dates, and burndown analysis
  • Vendor & 3rd party management
  • Proven track record of delivering products and services to market
  • Experience in identifying, creating, and managing product Risk Controls
  • Project Management experience including use of Agile methodology
  • Strong analytical ability used to identify risks, confidently raise issues, and escalate appropriately
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with senior executives
  • Highly motivated with an organized work style and the ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Not eligible for visa sponsorship
  • This opportunity provides a hybrid work schedule at one of the posted locations

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
