For our headquarters in Veghel, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Layout Engineer / BIM Project Coordinator to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts in complex automation projects. This hybrid role combines technical leadership in BIM coordination with expertise in conveyor system layout engineering.

Your Responsibilities:

BIM Coordination & Project Management

  • Lead BIM coordination across disciplines, ensuring proper geo-referencing and model alignment.
  • Manage BIM file exchange, archiving, and milestone submittals.
  • Conduct clash detection, model coordination, and reporting.
  • Act as the customer-facing spokesperson for BIM topics during sales and contract phases.
  • Maintain and update BEP and EIR documentation.
  • Ensure interoperability of software tools and manage shared file server setups.

System & Conveyor Design

  • Participate in system design during sales and engineering phases.
  • Create and detail 3D conveyor models based on functional design, incorporating input from all engineering disciplines.
  • Promote standardization and report non-standard solutions.
  • Manage and archive design deliverables, ensuring consistent quality and accessibility.

Interface & External Coordination

  • Coordinate building interfaces and integrate survey data.
  • Communicate and resolve design issues with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Understand and manage customer CAD and BIM requirements.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead a team of layout engineers within projects.
  • Transfer knowledge, tutor new engineers, and support continuous improvement in tools and processes.
  • Provide feedback to product managers and contribute to development Layout Engineering and BIM tooling and processes.

What do we ask from you?

  • Degree or educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Solid experience in BIM coordination, project management, and multidisciplinary engineering projects
  • Strong expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and common BIM/CAD formats (IFC, DWG)
  • Knowledge of conveyor systems and material handling solutions
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to lead project teams and collaborate across disciplines
  • Structured, detail-oriented working style with a focus on quality
  • Familiarity with BEP, EIR standards, and interoperability of software tools
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
