Team Credo is looking for an Senior Laboratory Administrator to join our mission to transform connectivity at scale. This role will play a critical role in advancing semiconductor technologies through innovative design, development, and testing. Base salary range is $83,000 - $140,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Eight or more years of experience managing engineering labs, validation labs, data center environments, or similar technical facilities, including vendor management and budget responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience making equipment repair/replace/upgrade decisions and directing vendors or technicians who perform the work.
  • Strong working knowledge of RF test equipment, thermal chambers, probe stations, PCB rework tools, server hardware, and networking, sufficient to evaluate technical work performed by others.
  • Experience negotiating and managing vendor service agreements and SLAs.
  • Familiarity with ESD control standards and the ability to set and enforce program policy.
  • Working knowledge of ISO quality management systems and controlled documentation processes.
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and cross-functional coordination skills.
     
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting semiconductor product development, silicon validation, or application engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with ANSI/ESD S20.20 requirements and ESD program ownership.
  • Knowledge of high-speed networking technologies, optical connectivity products, and test equipment.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001-certified organization.

Responsibilities
  • Exercises independent judgment to evaluate, select, and manage vendors for installation, calibration, and maintenance; negotiates service agreements and SLAs; determines whether equipment is repaired, replaced, or upgraded based on cost, risk, and business impact; owns the lab's operating budget and approves purchases and reorder decisions.
  • Assigns and oversees the work of vendor technicians and support staff performing installs, moves, calibrations, and repairs; inspects and approves completed work; evaluates escalated equipment or process issues, determines root cause, and decides how they should be resolved.
  • Establishes and enforces ESD control policy, safety standards, and operational procedures; partners with Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Silicon Validation, Systems Engineering, and IT leadership to prioritize lab resources across competing demands and drive continuous improvement in uptime, throughput, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain records for high-value prototype chips, evaluation boards, reference designs, and consumables; document thermal profile metrics, run logs, and equipment states using EMS/MES systems; track cable and connector inventory and log shortages for reorder.
  • Maintain cable management, labeling, and documentation standards, and records confirming the lab environment meets operational, safety, and security requirements.
