THE ROLE

The Senior Immigration Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist is part of the Knowledge Group, which has global responsibility for keeping clients and staff informed of the changes in the global immigration and mobility landscape and their impact on clients and the firm. The Senior Immigration KM Specialist supports the country content development and maintenance for Fragomen’s Knowledge systems and products, including the Immigration Knowledge Library – our core immigration knowledge database – and its associated country documents and products; the Business Visa Matrix (BVM) – our business traveler tool; and the Knowledge Center (KC) – our client-facing knowledge resource portal. Geographic focus will be on APAC, which covers 20 jurisdictions.

The Senior Immigration KM Specialist works with the product managers and Regional Knowledge Managers to ensure that all content is appropriate for inclusion in the suite of Knowledge products and that it is accurate and clear to readers. The Senior Immigration KM Specialist also works with the larger Knowledge Group to improve content development and maintenance processes and support client research requests and regional projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft, edit, update and publish content in Fragomen Knowledge systems as changes in regulations, policies and/or practice occur.
  • Work with worldwide professionals (Fragomen practices and teams, co-counsel firms, and clients, as applicable) to clarify the effect of an immigration change on specific Knowledge products and register updates to content as they occur, and per the content maintenance schedule and processes.
  • Conduct regular quality control of products and processes to maintain accuracy of content and efficiency of processes.
  • Work with technologies such as SharePoint, Tableau, and metadata editors, and Fragomen proprietary systems to efficiently update, review and store country information to support the User/Reader experience.
  • Work with the larger Knowledge Group on content updates, system upgrades, publications and client research projects, as required, especially with data collection and evaluation from Subject Matter Experts.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Communications, legal studies, international relations, etc.)
  • APAC immigration and/or global mobility experience is desirable
  • 3+ years’ experience in content management or equivalent preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and able to convey complex immigration concepts with clarity
  • Experience working with Microsoft O365 products, including SharePoint. Knowledge of Tableau a plus.
  • Must have strong organization skills to efficiently manage priorities and quickly respond to urgent requests
  • Demonstrated experience working in a multi-cultural setting
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to identify, characterize, and solve complex process issues
  • Ability to categorize and analyze large scale complex data sets
