About the Role

We are expanding our team and would love for you to be a part of it as the face of our AU business as our Senior Key Accounts Manager. In this senior role, you will strategically be representing all of our G Touring Community (GTC) brands including G Adventures, Tru Travels and Just You. 

This role will be the main relationship holder with one of our key partners in Australia at a head office level and across travel agencies. It will report to the region's Managing Director and work closely with all GTC brands at the commercial level, which includes outside sales teams and marketing in order to support our trade partners.

The role will be based out of our Brisbane office.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and Managing the relationship between GTC and a key partner in AU at a senior head office level.

  • Create and implement a business plan to achieve monthly and quarterly targets including growing existing accounts and prospecting for new opportunities

  • Create strategic plans with the partner to engage their entire network and grow sales, This will be done across all brands and regions. 

  • Provide reporting monthly of all brands and regions from which the above strategic plans will be formed.

  • Provide training on all of GTC’s Product

  • Provide exceptional customer service in every situation

  • Work with both speed and efficiency while consistently displaying compassion and care in every interaction

  • Differentiate your service to provide our travel trade partners with a uniquely GTC experience.

How your mission is achieved:

  • Connect with our travel trade partners in person, over the phone, via Zoom and email

  • Attend partner conferences and training events

  • Create and implement marketing campaigns and initiatives across the travel agency trade space

  • Hold regular training sessions to ensure your travel trade partners are up to date with GTC brands and product. 

  • Present GTC products to groups of agents and/or clients from 4 to 100+

  • Maintain superior knowledge of all GTC product and changes

  • Be an integral part of GTC and our amazing company culture.

  • Be the first point of contact for any of your trade partners inquiries

  • In combination with our marketing department creating succinct marketing plans with partners to drive enquires and conversion

  • Ensuring the prominence of GTC products on our travel trade partners social, website and digital platforms

Do you have what it takes? 

  • Proven experience in a travel agency senior operational role 

  • Proven ability to form relationships across all hierarchical levels within a Consortia Partner.

  • Travel sales experience 

  • Demonstrated strategic business planning, analysing, and reporting skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Advanced skills in interpersonal relationship management

  • Effective communication skills in english, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work irregular hours, if required (occasionally early starts to train travel trade partners before they open or evenings, weekends in case of conferences and events)

  • Domestic and International travel are involved in this role

  • A love of sales and travel

  • Valid license and own vehicle

Desired skills

  • Ability to understand and demonstrate professional sales presentation techniques

  • Problem-solving/complaint resolution skills with a focus on the customer experience

  • Flexible and energetic, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Ability to navigate and use a variety of computer systems confidently with speed and efficiency

  • Understanding of and identification with GTC brands

  • Experience with Salesforce, Slack, Google products and Zoom is an asset
