About the Role
DP World is seeking a customer-focused Senior Key Account Manager to join our Commercial Logistics team in Melbourne. In this role, you will partner closely with key customers and internal stakeholders across our business to strengthen customer relationships, drive growth and deliver operational excellence. You will act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer needs are understood, solutions are delivered and long-term value is created.
Additionally, you will translate customer requirements into practical operational solutions, provide strategic guidance on account growth and lead initiatives that enhance customer experience, performance outcomes and profitability.
Key Accountabilities:
Act as primary account lead and trusted advisor for key customers, managing relationships at both operational and strategic levels
Develop and execute key account strategies to grow share of wallet, expand service offerings and identify new business opportunities
Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, commercial, finance and business development to deliver integrated customer solutions
Lead new customer implementations, ensuring smooth transition from sales to operations with clear governance, milestones and accountability
Manage customer performance through regular business reviews, tracking KPIs, service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
Proactively manage escalations, risks and customer issues while maintaining CRM accuracy, pipeline visibility and strategic customer insights
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
5+ year’s experience in key account management within logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain environments
Strong understanding of end-to-end logistics solutions, including freight forwarding, transport and warehousing
Demonstrated experience managing large, complex customer accounts and delivering growth-focused strategies
Proven project management capability, particularly in customer implementations, onboarding and operational transitions
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing profitability, contracts and performance metrics
High-level stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels
Proficient in CRM systems and logistics platforms (e.g. CargoWise desirable), with strong communication and problem-solving skills
