We’re seeking an experienced Senior Jira Administrator to help multiple cross-functional teams (Editorial, Supplier Operations, HR) successfully adopt and optimize Jira. This part-time engagement will focus on hands-on configuration, workflow setup, training, and automation to enable teams to fully leverage Jira and integrate it with existing tools like Salesforce.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and customize Jira projects, workflows, schemes, custom fields, and screens for different departments.
- Set up user permissions, project roles, and global settings ensuring proper visibility and access control.
- Design and implement automations and integrations.
- Conduct a live + recorded Jira 101 training session for non-technical users.
- Support data migration from existing tools and ensure smooth transition of historical content.
- Recommend and configure add-ons to enhance functionality.
- Deliver reusable templates and configuration guidelines so teams can self-manage after the engagement.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in Jira administration or consulting.
- Strong expertise in configuring Jira workflows, custom fields, and schemes.
- Solid understanding of Jira Query Language (JQL).
- Ability to integrate Jira with third-party systems.
- Experience with data migration, upgrades, and add-on management.
- Upper-intermediate or higher English level with excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Proactive and autonomous, with ability to suggest and implement improvements.
- Customer-focused mindset, able to deliver practical solutions across diverse teams.
