What's the role about
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team in Belgrade.Our tech stack: Java 17 and newer, Kotlin, Reactor, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Oracle, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
What you’ll be doing
- You will be part of a cross-functional engineering team and take responsibility for developing testing and maintaining the backend services of Paysend BackOffice platform.
- You deliver high quality maintainable code and take ownership of feature development with understanding of the business context and technological capabilities of the platform
- Review code of other team members, proactively share knowledge and ensure that we are delivering code of high quality
- You proactively come up with new ideas and approaches to improve our platform
What you’ll need to be successful in the role
- Deep knowledge of Java 17 and newer
- Experience with Spring / Spring Boot is a must
- Experience in developing and writing unit/integration tests
- Clear understanding of common code design patterns and design principles
- Experience with monitoring and observability of live services and applications
- Hands-on experience with relational databases with knowledge of non-relational databases being a plus
- Experience with Webflux / Reactor
- Experience in using cloud based infrastructure AWS, GCP is a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Desired skills
- Experience with PostgreSQL and ORACLE databases
