Job Description

What you'll do:

We are looking for Senior Java Software Engineer to join Experian Data Quality Department and contribute to the development of our Email Validate product. This product is REST API and helps our clients to validate that both business and personal email addresses actually exist in both real-time or bulk. It also offers suggestions for correcting email addresses if they contain syntax errors or typos in domain names. As part of the team, you will report to a Software Team Manager.

  • Research and develop high-quality, scalable backend software solutions using Java (Spring Boot).
  • Produce clean, testable, and efficient code that follows established coding best practices.
  • Write automated tests as part of the development process to ensure software reliability and performance.
  • Perform code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and architectural standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Architects to capture functional requirements, define technical solutions, and identify dependencies.
  • Lead and contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and monitoring.
  • Guide and foster engineering excellence by mentoring team members, sharing knowledge, and promoting learning.
  • Inspire teammates to improve their technical skills and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
  • Stay up to date with latest technologies and industry trends, evaluating their relevance and potential impact on the product and team.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years experience as a Java Developer.
  • 3+ years experience in building cloud-native applications with Spring Boot and Docker.
  • Solid experience with Spring Ecosystem (Spring boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security)
  • Understand software architecture and design principles.
  • Solid experience with Relational Databases.
  • Solid experience with unit/integration/e2e tests: JUnit/Mockito, build tools: Maven/Gradle.
  • Practical experience with distributed systems, Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes.
  • Experience with message brokers.
