Part of the Global Business Unit Land and Air Systems (LAS) within Thales Group, Thales AMS (Airspace Mobility Solutions) is providing leading edge airspace control and security solutions for the commercial and defense sectors, as well as digital solutions for Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) and Digital Aviation. AMS represents revenues of over 500 million Euros worldwide and is the global market leader in the space of Air Traffic Management and one of the most credible players in the new UTM space. AMS address different markets of Air Traffic Control (ATC) solutions (mainly SW based). Projects involves

teams in France (Rungis/Toulouse), Portugal, UK, Romania and Australia.

Mission

The Java Developer will be responsible for the day-to-day development activities.

Required competencies

• Relevant experience in Software Engineering
• In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
• Good technical skills in software development and software testing
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Self-reliance and good communication skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• English language fluency and proficiency

Technical expertise

• Java – advanced level;
• Junit – advanced level;
• Build system: Maven or Gradle
• SQL
• Git

Would be a significant plus

• Java FX
• Experience with containerization technologies (Podman)
• Experience with container orchestration solutions (Kubernetes)

Would be a plus

• Exposure to a SAFe product management
• Knowledge of the following (or similar) tools: Jira, Confluence
