Job Overview:
You'll lead the design and development of robust, scalable backend systems as a Senior Java Developer. Your role is critical in driving technical excellence, defining best practices, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Architect and implement high-performance, secure RESTful APIs for enterprise-grade applications.
- Lead system design discussions, contributing to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy.
- Collaborate with frontend teams (React/Angular) to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Conduct and lead code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and improving overall code quality.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure system reliability.
- Design and manage database schemas, queries, and transactions across SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Implement and enforce application security standards, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Integrate third-party services, APIs, and external systems efficiently.
- Drive adoption of modern development practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and automation.
- Mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and fostering skill development.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the tech stack.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–6+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
- Strong expertise in Java (Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming principles).
- Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Proficiency with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
- Strong experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
- Experience with Spring Security and secure coding practices.
- Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to modern frameworks like Quarkus is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaborative environments.
