About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to help us design, build, and scale a modern, distributed system. This role is all about ensuring our platform is fast, reliable, and rock-solid as we extend existing functionality and create new features from the ground up. You’ll take full ownership of the development process, support the systems you build, and adapt quickly in an exciting environment with evolving product needs.  

How You’ll Make an Impact:  

• Design and implement scalable APIs and backend services that power high-availability applications. 
• Drive the full software lifecycle — from architecture and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and long-term support. 
• Maintain and optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability at scale. 
• Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and engineers to align business goals with technical solutions. 
• Mentor and guide teammates through code reviews, design discussions, and best engineering practices. 

 Who You Are:  

• 5+ years of backend development experience with strong expertise in Java and object-oriented design. 
• Solid knowledge of design patterns, system architecture, and scalability principles. 
• Hands-on experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and message-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ). 
• Familiar with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). 
• Comfortable with automated testing (unit, integration, performance). 
• Proven track record building and supporting production-grade, high-load systems. 
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with shifting priorities. 
• Strong communicator with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
