The Role

Job Overview
Join global organization with 82000+ employees around the world, as a Senior Java Developer based in IQVIA Kochi .You will be part of IQVIA’s world class technology team and will be involved in design, development, enhanced software programs or cloud applications or proprietary products.

Essential Functions
• Designs/develops software solutions requiring general domain knowledge and specialized business experience.
• Works at all layers of the application stack including front-end user interface and backend development.
• Analyzes user requirements/needs and makes decisions within general parameters under regular supervision.
• Supports and often lead projects within own organization with limited complexity, including the development of medium size system components.
• Has strong and broad understanding of quality standards and work requires minimal revision.
• Reviews complex functional specifications and other validation deliverables as assigned.
• Provides peer support and helps on-board new Software Engineers to the team.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
 Req Or
• 4 to 7 years prior related experience in developing Java web applications and OpenText Content Server
• Hands on development using OpenText WebReports, Workflows and OScript
• Proven hands-on Software Development experience
• Proven working experience in Java development
• Experience in the Spring Framework
• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
• Development experience with XML, JSON and Restful Services
• Should have worked in Agile environment
• Exposure to CICD tools like GitLab
• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Database (Oracle) and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
• Experience with TDD/BDD development
• Experience as a Sun Certified Java Developer
• Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Ability to write clean code
• History of successfully designing small to medium system components
• Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills
