We currently have a vacancy for a skilled Senior Java Developer, fluent in English who will be based in Brussels. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be closely collaborating with the responsible officials and managing the project team.
Tasks:
- Design of component architecture and building blocks;
- Review of the architecture of existing systems;
- Coordinate of the implementation of the technical architecture;
- Develop of functionalities, testing, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting;
- Prepare data analysis and data modelling;
- Develop technical interface between the project leaders and the developers;
- Ensure consistency between AV Media metadata and available media files;
- Provide analysis and indexing of AV Media metadata files;
- Prepare of media file metadata information for dissemination and publishing.
- University degree in IT combined with 11 years of IT professional experience;
- Expertise in Java/J2EE;
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL;
- Knowledge of NoSQL DB (MongoDB, Solr);
- Knowledge of tools such as CDI, JPA, Reflection and Spring (MVC, Container, Scheduler or QUARTZ Scheduler);
- Knowledge of application design and SOA architecture and interoperability technologies;
- Knowledge of modelling tools and languages (e.g. UML);
- Experience with: Spring Security, Tomcat, Jira, Jquery;
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile);
- Good knowledge of JSON/XML and HTML;
- Knowledge of middleware infrastructure and web servers, in particular WebLogic;
- Knowledge of ITIL standards and best practices will be considered an asset;
- Excellent command of the English language, oral and written.
