We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure enterprise-grade applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and QA engineers, to deliver robust software solutions that align with our business objectives.
As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior developers, drive engineering best practices, and contribute to architectural and design decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Software Development: Design, code, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and secure Java-based applications and microservices.
- Architecture & Design: Participate in architectural discussions, design system components, and ensure the technical feasibility of system designs.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and implement automated testing (unit, integration, and performance testing).
- Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize application performance, latency, and resource utilization.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, configuration management, and monitoring.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product owners to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and estimate development effort.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Java Expertise: Strong proficiency in Java (version 11/17/21) with a deep understanding of core concepts like multi-threading, concurrency, memory management, and JVM tuning.
- Spring Ecosystem: Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Cloud.
- Microservices Architecture: Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.
- Relational Databases: Strong SQL skills and experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- NoSQL Databases: Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis is highly desirable.
- Messaging & Integration: Experience with message brokers and event-streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and debugging skills with a proactive approach to resolving complex technical challenges.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead small teams, take ownership of deliverables, and drive projects to completion.
- Agile Mindset: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience
Java & Spring: Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
Microservices: Proven experience in designing and building microservices-based architectures.
Messaging Systems: Strong experience with Kafka implementation for building event-driven systems.
Containerization: Good knowledge of container technologies, with specific experience in ECS.
Database: Strong proficiency in PL/SQL for database development and optimization.
Agile Methodologies: Solid experience working in and practicing Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
AI and Prompt Engineering: Wide exposure to and practical experience with smart AI tools and the ability to craft optimized prompts.
