Senior IT Systems Specialist (Scottsdale, AZ)
Leverage advanced knowledge of computer science to analyze, design, implement, administer, and support Clearway’s Operational IT systems. This will include collaborating with business stakeholders to enhance existing systems and contribute to the team and organization’s continuous improvement objectives. Specific duties include:
- Implement projects for delivery of systems and applications to support Realtime Operations, Performance Engineering and Data Analytics, Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance business functions of Clearway Renewables.
- Implement and support market trade and settlement application (Adapt2), facilitating data integrations with market participants and ISOs.
- Develop and maintain invoice generation processes, ensuring accurate monthly settlements with off takers for delivered energy production.
- Build and support data historian and reporting systems using the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET Framework, ASP.NET, C#, MS SQL Server, and T-SQL.
- Create views and manage integrations, ensuring all necessary data for settlements is provided using RDBMS Databases.
- Provide Python/ PowerShell scripting for data automation and report generation, utilizing APIs to facilitate seamless data transfer between multiple servers and web applications.
- Develop procedures, processes, and applications necessary to provide safe and secure operations systems that meet regulatory standards.
- Maintain familiarity and operational understanding of all SCADA/Generation Management System applications and interfaces.
- Maintain familiarity with all NERC-CIP compliance and IT security requirements.
- Proactively recognize and document business process gaps, propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide “real-time” support for System Operators and Generation Dispatch and Power Marketing personnel.
- Establish and support data integration pipelines between applications.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact between the business teams and vendors for application support, product upgrades, installation, and maintenance.
- Effectively apply appropriate project management skills to follow project and development standards.
- Coordinate with multiple internal business teams to identify, prioritize, and manage Operations IT projects and technology tasks.
- Minimize and manage exposure and risk on project and production tasks.
- Maintain appropriate status reports, meeting minutes, and follow-up with business partners, vendors, and internal resources.
- Participate in 24x7 weekly on-call rotation for production support.
- May telecommute 60% of the workweek from any U.S. location.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or closely related quantitative field, plus three (3) years of experience performing systems and application development, configuration, implementation and technical support. Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include the following:
- 3 years of experience with Microsoft technology stack, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, C#, MS SQL Server, and T-SQL.
- 3 years of experience with RDBMS Databases, including MS SQL Server, Oracle or Postgre SQL.
- 1 year of experience in developing and maintaining small to large software systems, throughout the software development lifecycle.
- 1 year of experience configuring and maintaining energy accounting and settlements software.
- 1 year of experience supporting enterprise data historians and operational business intelligence applications.
