This position involves providing server/network support to the office infrastructure. You should have strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting computer, network, software, and hardware issues. You should also have good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
Environment Provisioning and Preventive Maintenance
- Preventive maintenance of servers including OS updates, BIOS updates, antivirus updates, firmware updates, disk clean-ups, defragmentation
- Provisioning Dev/QA/Staging/production Webservers/DB Servers setup and configuration
- Plan and execute environment cleanup on a regular basis
- Install and configure servers like but not limited to IIS, MSSQL, MySQL
- Troubleshoot issues as and when they occur and find optimum solutions
- Provisioning of ad-hoc IT systems as per client requirements
Network/Server Maintenance and Monitoring
- Support and administration of office network including but not limited to network switches, APs, firewall, UPS, Wi-Fi controller, etc
- Roll out software updates and patches using the software update server
- Monitor servers and services using various tools like but not limited to PRTG, CloudWatch
- Monitor and manage server backups regularly and start backups manually when automatic backups fail
- Help Cloud and DevOps team to configure and manage automation scripts
- Help Cloud and DevOps team to set up and configure CI/CD jobs using Jenkins, GitLab, etc
- Set up, configure, and manage Docker containers
- Ability to configure network firewall under supervision
- Create local websites on IIS, Nginx, and Apache
- Configure services like but not limited to DNS, DHCP under minimum supervision
- May also have to configure and troubleshoot Linux servers for application hosting, file sharing, and basic services
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot data center servers
Documentation, Training, Reports
- Create technical documentation
- Prepare reports as directed by management
- Review and evaluate new services and tools requested
- Manage and track licenses and subscriptions of various development/Ops tools and services like but not limited to SSL, JIRA, Office365, SendGrid
As a Tech Lead, you will
- Lead and mentor team members in troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
- Train team members on best practices and technical concepts
- Review and approve team outputs for quality and compliance
- Make critical decisions regarding task prioritization and issue resolution
- Foster a collaborative environment to enhance team productivity
Technical Qualifications
- Experience in software, hardware, and network troubleshooting
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as IIS, MySQL, MSSQL, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WDS, WSUS, Hyper-V
- Experience with Docker
- Hands-on experience with cloud service providers like Azure, AWS, GCP is an added advantage
- Strong working knowledge of Windows OS and related applications
- Understanding of networking, TCP/UDP, and IP routing
- Knowledge of Linux server administration, including basic shell scripting and managing services, is good to have

Education and Work Experience
- Graduate degree in computer-related field
- Over 5+ years of experience in system administration
- MCSE, MCSA, and Azure certifications are preferred but not required
