Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior IT Service Manager to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years of experience managing IT services and operations, with a strong background in ITIL frameworks, system administration (Linux and Windows), application administration, and change management processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of IT services to meet SLAs and KPIs, ensuring high-quality and uninterrupted operations.
- Lead the resolution of IT incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurring issues.
- Manage changes to IT systems and processes to minimize risks and disruptions, ensuring seamless implementation.
- Identify areas for improvement in IT services, processes, and tools, and implement initiatives to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Manage IT resources effectively, including personnel, budgets, and infrastructure, ensuring adequate staffing and tools.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, business units, and users, acting as the main point of contact for IT service needs and concerns.
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with external vendors to ensure consistent and reliable service delivery.
- Regularly monitor IT systems, generate service performance reports, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Ensure IT services comply with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements, addressing vulnerabilities proactively.
- Lead and mentor the IT service team, fostering collaboration and supporting professional growth through training and guidance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT service management or related roles.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, applications, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) best practices for IT service management.
- Ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Capability to manage complex IT projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Focus on delivering excellent service to internal and external customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- ITIL certifications or similar qualifications are a plus.
