Job Summary
The Senior IT Process Analyst oversees, and advances change management processes, ensuring compliance, effective stakeholder collaboration, and continual process improvement. This role leads key meetings, delivers training, manages documentation, and provides expert guidance to drive operational excellence in IT Service Management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate proven experience managing IT change processes within complex, enterprise-scale environments, ensuring robust governance and risk mitigation.
- Apply solid understanding of mainframe environments and key components (z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, storage, batch processing) to assess, plan, and execute changes effectively.
- Utilize familiarity with mainframe managed service models—including Remote Infrastructure Management, Remote Hosted, and Mainframe-as-a-Service—to tailor change strategies to diverse client needs.
- Coordinate and communicate seamlessly with technical teams (mainframe operations, systems programmers, DBAs, network engineers) and business stakeholders to drive successful change implementation and stakeholder alignment.
- Leverage working knowledge of ITIL-based change management processes, including risk assessment and incident/problem management, specifically within mainframe contexts.
- Manage and optimize change records using service management tools (ServiceNow, Ensono Envision), ensuring integration with client ITSM platforms and maintaining accurate documentation, tracking, and reporting of all change activities.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of mainframe support offerings—covering infrastructure, operations, disaster recovery, security, compliance, performance monitoring, and application support—to inform change decisions and risk assessments.
- Document, track, and report on change requests, approvals, implementations, and post-change reviews, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the change lifecycle.
- Exhibit strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, executive reporting, and continuous process improvement.
- Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Post-Implementation Review (PIR) meetings, ensuring executive visibility and robust accountability.
- Design and deliver training programs and facilitate knowledge transfer to elevate change management maturity across teams.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, knowledge base articles, and policy materials to support standardized change practices.
- Conduct audits and analyses of change failures, implementing root cause remediation strategies to enhance change success rates.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Required
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
- ITIL 4/V3 Certified. Intermediate ITIL Certifications preferred.
- Solid understanding of mainframe environments, including key components such as z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, storage, and batch processing.
- ServiceNow, and ITIL process governance.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience in driving process improvement and audit compliance.
