About the role

As a Senior IT Support Specialist, you will support local teams in-office and teams located around the world. The in-office support includes prioritizing support requests from users of existing IT services and configuring and maintaining workstations, servers, and cloud environments. Meeting with technical and non-technical staff to resolve IT service issues. You will help provide process improvements and modify access groups, permissions, and security accesses. You will collaborate with our other members across the globe, including Japan, France, Germany, India, Australia, and Moldova. 

  • Support the office with hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Help with the onboarding and offboarding process for employees.
  • Administrate accounts and keep an eye out for possible security issues.
  • Upkeep weekly documentation and reporting.
  • Be the onsite support for network hardware-related changes.

As a Senior IT Support Specialist, you will report to the Director of IT, Operations.

We are considering applicants for the location of Tokyo, Japan.

About You

Technology

  • 5+ years of proven Helpdesk or Workstation Support experience
  • Proficiency in solving Windows-based PC workstation issues
  • Experience with a hosted or SaaS infrastructure and its configuration and maintenance
  • Google Workspace administration experience
  • Admin experience in at least two of the following services: Okta, JAMF, InTune, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Slack, SnipeIT, or Zoom
  • Experience with trouble ticket tracking software
  • Bachelors in a Technical field, or equivalent work experience

People

  • Native to Business level Japanese language skills
  • Native to Business level English language skills
  • Experience connecting with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Experience writing user documentation
  • Experience giving presentations on technical topics

Process

  • Experience with Incident Management, including evaluating, prioritizing, and resolving issues promptly conforming to service level agreement guidelines
  • Experience administering multiple systems while building on your knowledge and improving the function and structure of the systems you support
  • Experience with inventory management processes, including procurement, preparation, distribution, tracking, and recovery
  • Experience handling personal data and intellectual property 

Pluses

You have 2-3 of the items below in addition to the above:

  • Experience with Mac and Mac OS
  • Technical certifications in the domain of System Administration
  • Experience with AWS environments
  • Experience with network infrastructure operational experience with routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi, and VPN
  • Experience with scripting languages (i.e., GAM or Python)

As a member of the IT Operations Team, you will support the entire Crunchyroll workforce globally, maintain the IT Service availability, and participate in projects geared towards service improvements.

Hybrid Workspace

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.

Three in-person days per week. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are the company-wide days for ALL team members to be in the office, and individuals may choose to come in more if they please.
