Octane Lending is currently hiring a Senior IT Operations Engineer for their Dallas/Irving, Texas office. This is an on-site role. This person will be responsible for providing senior technical assistance and SME-level support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Experience with Azure AD or JumpCloud, Google G-Suite, maintaining an enterprise fleet of machines, identifying and isolating problems, and implementing solutions. You will work directly with the internal IT, Infrastructure, and Security teams, external vendors, and manufacturers to discover and communicate technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain the hardware and software necessary for daily operations and business functions.
- Design & assist with configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of office networking infrastructure, including Wi-Fi access points, wired connections, switches, and routers
- Assist cross-functionally with IT projects that enhance technology capabilities of the company
- Provide subject-matter expert-level technical assistance and support for incoming queries in-person and through digital channels for issues related to computer systems, network, software, and hardware.
- Engage with 3rd party vendors for additional support and RCA as appropriate
- Identify process, procedure, and technology improvements that will enhance overall corporate IT by developing and executing roadmaps and project plans
- Run reports to catalog device health and other useful metrics
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment and communicate future resource needs to meet forecasted growth
- Be the primary owner of creating and maintaining IT internal/partner support Runbooks, and employee support documentation
- Coach and mentor junior engineers
- Participate in a 24 x 7 on-call escalation rotation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications with experience
- 8+ years of experience in technology
- Network+/CCNA or equivalent
- Microsoft and MacOS certifications preferred
- RPA and automation certifications a plus
- Experience with IT Helpdesk functions and ticketing systems (Zendesk), and managing devices with Mobile Device Management Platforms (Okta, Intune)
- Experience with Microsoft and Apple software products such as Windows, Office, MacOS, iOS, and Android Tablets and phones.
- Strong experience configuring and managing networks with enterprise equipment (Unifi, Meraki)
- Advanced experience troubleshooting technical hardware problems with devices, peripherals, conference room, and AV equipment
- Experience with enterprise software - Windows and MacOS, anti-malware, VPNs, Zscaler
- Experience using Azure Active Directory, Okta, or another Identity Provider platform
- Fundamental Powershell, bash, shell, VB scripting experience, or experience with graphical automation tools
- Solution-oriented attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn
