Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant with hands-on experience in S/4HANA implementations, deployment, migration, and support projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional and technical expertise in SAP TM, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient solutions across logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support end-to-end SAP TM implementations, including design, configuration, deployment, migration, and production support.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications within SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with logistics and transportation processes.
  • Develop system designs that align with high-level architecture and business requirements, ensuring traceability and compliance.
  • Configure and support key SAP TM components including:
    • Order Management (Inbound & Outbound)
    • Freight Order Planning & Execution  
    • Freight Settlement
  • Facilitate and lead Blueprint Workshops, gathering requirements and mapping business processes into SAP solutions.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet agreed timelines, quality standards, and release schedules.
  • Conduct solution testing, peer reviews, and documentation, ensuring business sign-offs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, PP, FI/CO, WM/EWM, GTS) for seamless integration.
  • Provide end-user training, create SOPs, and maintain functional documentation.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide effective resolutions, ensuring business continuity.
  • Engage with vendors and partners for solution delivery and issue resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP Transportation Management (TM).
  • Strong experience in SAP TM on S/4HANA, including at least one full-cycle implementation project.
  • Good understanding of transportation logistics lifecycle, including:
    • Inbound and outbound processes
    • Transportation planning and execution
    • TM master data management
  • Experience with integration between SAP TM and other modules/systems, especially:
    • SAP EWM
    • SAP GTS
  • Integration with other 3 PL Systems with middleware.
  • Solid understanding of cross-functional SAP modules such as MM, SD, LO, HUM PP, FI/CO, QM, PM.
  • Strong experience in business process mapping, requirement analysis, and solution design

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Advanced Application Support: Provide high-level support for business applications, addressing complex user queries and resolving technical issues promptly.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex application problems, working with users and technical teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor application performance and system health, ensure applications run efficiently, and identify potential issues before they impact users.
• User Assistance and Training: Assist users with advanced application-related questions and provide training and documentation to help them effectively use the applications.
• Incident and Problem Management: Manage and prioritize incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder communication. Lead problem management efforts to identify and resolve recurring issues.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with development teams, IT, and other stakeholders to implement application updates, patches, and enhancements.
• Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain comprehensive documentation of application configurations, support procedures, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge articles.
• Change Management: Participate in and lead change management processes, ensuring application changes are tested and deployed smoothly.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure applications comply with security policies and regulatory requirements, implementing necessary controls and safeguards.
• Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and guide junior application support analysts, providing technical expertise and support to help them develop their skills.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance application support and efficiency. Lead initiatives to implement these improvements.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience. Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years of relevant and practical experience.

Special Skills:
• Advanced Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL for troubleshooting in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle environments and a strong understanding of application support processes.
• Shell Scripting: The ability to develop and migrate shell scripts is crucial for automating tasks and managing systems.
• System Integration Testing: Designing and executing system integration tests to ensure the seamless operation of applications.
• Customer Service: Skills to provide end-user support and maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Decision-making: Ability to make sound judgments under pressure during critical incidents.
