Why this role is important to us
This position is importantly in driving our efficient use of resources within our organization. As a Senior FinOps Analyst, you will be at the heart of our efforts to optimize costs related to our Azure cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in cost analysis and reporting will enable us to make data-driven decisions that enhance our financial efficiency.
The role requires a understanding of financial operations, cloud cost management, and the ability to adjust Power BI reports to provide insightful metrics and trends. By identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to reduce unnecessary expenditure, you will directly contribute to the financial health and sustainability of our organization.
In essence, this role is critical in ensuring we maintain a balance between operational excellence and cost-effectiveness, continually supporting our company towards its strategic goals
What you will be responsible for

Analyze cloud expenses, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing cost-reducing solutions.

Utilize Power BI to create and adjust reports providing insightful metrics and trends

Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to reduce unnecessary expenditures with the team

Work with organisation to right-size resources in either scale or implementation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost optimization aligns with business goals

Create accurate cost forecasts on cloud spending, managing budgets, and alerting about budget overruns or sudden changes.

Develop and maintain financial models for cloud cost management

Educate and train stakeholders on best practices for financial operations and cloud cost management

Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures related to cloud cost management

Stay updated on industry news, trends and emerging practices in FinOps and cloud cost management
