Overview 

Genesys is seeking a skilled Senior IAM Engineer to join our global Identity and Access Management team. This role is ideal for an experienced individual contributor who can independently deliver on defined IAM capabilities, support day-to-day operations, and collaborate effectively with global stakeholders. 

The IAM Engineer will support enterprise IAM platforms and processes including SSO, Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), directory services, and access controls, while gaining deeper exposure to Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID in support of senior engineers. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Administer, configure, and support IAM platforms including Okta and Active Directory. 

  • Execute IAM operational activities such as user provisioning/deprovisioning, access changes, access reviews, and authentication workflows. 

  • Support and improve Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) lifecycle processes and automation. 

  • Assist with directory and cloud identity operations in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including user, group, and access management. 

  • Implement and maintain role-based access controls and entitlement models. 

  • Monitor IAM systems and access events; investigate issues and escalate risks as needed. 

  • Collaborate with Security, IT, HR, and application teams to deliver IAM solutions. 

  • Support audits, compliance activities, and evidence collection related to identity and access controls. 

  • Create and maintain IAM documentation including knowledge base articles, runbooks, and team SOPs. 

  • Participate in testing and validation activities for IAM changes and integrations. 

  • Participate in a shared, rotational on-call schedule to support IAM services. 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

  • Typically 5years of experience in IAM, IT security, or enterprise IT operations. 

  • Hands-on experience with Okta and directory services. 

  • Exposure to Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID administration is strongly desirable. 

  • Working knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, MFA, and identity lifecycle concepts. 

  • Experience supporting SaaS and internal application integrations. 

  • Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence. 

  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across global teams. 

 

Additional Information 

  • Working Hours: This role requires working late-day IST hours to support overlap with US (PST) and EMEA-based teams. Typical working hours are 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST, with some flexibility. 

  • On-Call Support: Participation in a shared, rotational on-call schedule will be required.
