Senior IT End User Computing Engineer
Full Time - Permanent

Location: Hillington, Glasgow (Must be able to travel to offices for training)

Salary: Up to £50,000.00 per annum(depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for an Senior IT End User Computing Engineer to join their team of staff in the IT department based in our offices in Hillington, Glasgow.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a shift rotation: 8-4, 9-5, 10-6.

Duties of this role include: 

  • You provide day-to-day guidance, workload coordination, coaching and support for EUC Engineers, ensuring work is appropriately prioritised and delivered to agreed standards.
  • You help develop technical capability, consistency and ownership across the team, providing support on more complex incidents and operational issues.
  • You support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of EUC services across Circle Health Group, both remotely and on-site.
  • You take ownership of complex break-fix issues, service requests, upgrades, device lifecycle activity and general EUC platform health.
  • You ensure support and maintenance activities are progressed within agreed SLAs, with clear documentation, testing and communication.
  • You maintain effective configuration management across EUC devices, applications, builds and associated services, ensuring records and documentation remain accurate and current.
  • You provide technical support across Windows devices, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, endpoint management, application deployment, mobile device management, virtualisation, remote access and associated EUC technologies.
  • You coordinate third-party suppliers and managed service providers involved in EUC service delivery, ensuring clear ownership and timely progression of issues.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • At least five years’ experience within End User Computing, desktop support or a similar role in a medium or large organisation.
  • Strong experience across EUC technologies including Windows devices, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Group Policy, endpoint management, mobile device management, virtualisation and networking.
  • At least three years’ experience with image design and deployment technologies.
  • At least three years’ experience with Microsoft and third-party patching technologies.
  • Some experience contributing to platform or solution design.
  • Experience coordinating EUC Engineers, suppliers or managed service providers.
  • Experience supporting configuration management, vulnerability remediation, patching and compliance reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Experience working within a professional, service-focused IT environment.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide and support out-of-hours activity where required.
