This role will be located in Vancouver and requires at least three days per week onsite. This is a 12-month contract role.
How You'll Contribute
We are seeking an experienced Senior SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Data Room Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure & Security team. This role is essential to supporting and governing our Microsoft 365 collaboration ecosystem, including advanced responsibilities across SharePoint, Teams, Teams Premium, OneDrive, and secure data rooms. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Microsoft 365 services, strong governance and compliance experience, and advanced troubleshooting capability, including Teams Calling and Microsoft Teams Rooms. Experience in biotech/pharma or other regulated environments is an asset.
What You'll Do
- Design, configure, and administer SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions.
- Maintain information architecture, taxonomy, and secure lifecycle management.
- Develop automation via Power Automate and PowerShell (asset).
- Oversee secure content sharing, document management, retention, compliance policies, and metadata strategy.
- Manage OneDrive for Business, including sync, storage thresholds, user permissions, and sharing policies.
- Troubleshoot sync conflicts, device issues, and access problems.
- Ensure compliance alignment between OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and organizational governance controls.
- Oversee Microsoft Teams collaboration services, including configuration, governance, lifecycle management, and Teams Premium capabilities.
- Implement and maintain Teams governance and security controls, including sensitivity labels, templates, guest access, and app permissions.
- Deploy and support Teams Calling and Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), ensuring reliable meeting, voice, and AV experiences.
- Administer secure data rooms using Datasite, Egnyte, HighQ, AWS S3, and Azure Blob/Files.
- Configure access governance, permission hierarchies, encryption, and audit logs.
- Support sensitive collaboration with clinical, legal, financial, and regulatory partners.
- Oversee folder structures, lifecycle policies, and secure external file sharing.
- Apply M365 security and compliance including retention, DLP, eDiscovery, Conditional Access, and Purview.
- Ensure alignment with GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2, and internal standards.
- Partner with IAM teams for role‑based access, guest controls, and identity governance.
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Teams Calling, and MTR systems.
- Use Teams Admin Center, SharePoint Admin Center, and Purview for proactive monitoring.
- Develop SOPs, governance documentation, and training materials.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and business teams.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years administering SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with Teams governance including naming conventions, access policies, sensitivity labels, and lifecycle controls.
- Experience with lifecycle management, governance, provisioning, migration, and reporting tools such as SharePoint Premium, Orchestry, and ShareGate.
- Strong administration experience with OneDrive for Business.
- Experience with Teams Premium.
- Experience with at least two: Datasite, Egnyte, HighQ, AWS, Azure.
- Advanced troubleshooting of Teams Calling and SBC routing.
- Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR).
- Strong M365 governance, compliance, and security knowledge.
It would be an asset if you had:
- Experience in biotech or regulated industries (GxP, clinical, regulatory) and asset.
- PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Experience with additional data rooms (ShareVault, Firmex, Intralinks)

- Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator / Solutions Expert
- Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity certifications
