Come join the MapMyFitness team at Outside as a Senior iOS Engineer. In this role, you will build software that helps millions of users track, analyze, and share their fitness journeys. You will work closely with our small and mighty team of engineers alongside our peers in growth marketing, product and design.
MapMyFitness is not just any fitness tracking app, it's a powerful platform that empowers people to achieve their fitness goals and connect with a community of like-minded individuals. At MapMyFitness our North Star is to provide our users with the very best tools to track, analyze, and improve their fitness activities.
What you will do:
- Lead development of new features for the MapMyFitness iOS app
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and design peers to ship great user experiences
- Respond proactively to bugs and make continuous improvements for the MapMyFitness community
- Assist with monitoring and resolving incidents, ensuring high availability
This describes you:
- You have 7+ years experience in iOS development
- You are proficient with Swift, Objective-C, SwiftUI, and UIKit, and are familiar with other parts of our stack: Core Data, Core Location, HealthKit
- You are very familiar with using shared libraries
- Debugging code in XCode is a breeze
- You are a strong communicator in a fully remote environment
- You can clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- You are able to work independently in situations of ambiguity
- You have experience shipping maintainable and testable code bases
- You can build and integrate RESTful APIs in mobile applications
- You have contributed to major architectural changes on products used by millions of users
Nice to have:
- Passion for fitness, running and familiarity with the MapMyFitness community
- Experience with workout tracking and GPS-based applications
- Background in performance optimization and battery efficiency
- Experience with Gitflow, Fastlane, and Bitrise but we’re also open to other workflows
What We Offer:
Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $140,000 to $175,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission . Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and more. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors
