About the Role:
We’re looking for an impact-focused Senior iOS Engineer to join the TodayTix product team and play a key role in shaping the future of the TodayTix iOS experience. Your expertise will ensure a high-quality, seamless app experience for our members. You will be instrumental in setting and maintaining high coding standards through thorough code reviews and proactive mentoring of junior engineers.
This role is critical as we continue to scale our iOS platform, providing a reliable and intuitive way for millions of users to discover and book live theatre and entertainment. Your contributions will directly influence feature development, architectural decisions, and the overall quality of our mobile product. You will be a key driver in optimizing app performance, implementing cutting-edge iOS technologies, and ensuring the application remains at the forefront of mobile innovation.

Please note: this is a full-time position and qualified candidates must be based in the greater New York City area. We encourage collaboration by working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, while also offering flexibility for employees to choose where they work for the rest of the week.
What Success Looks Like:
- Leading the development and implementation of major new features and architectural improvements, demonstrating strong technical leadership and project ownership.
- Proactively researching and implementing new iOS technologies and best practices, keeping the TodayTix app at the forefront of the industry.
- Contributing to the development of robust automated testing strategies, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our iOS platform.
- Proactively identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks or bugs within the TodayTix iOS application, resulting in measurable improvements in app stability and user experience.
- Mentoring junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with teams like product, design, and marketing to deliver features that meet our business needs and delight our members.
- Using GenAI to enhance user experience and streamline development workflows.
What You’ll Do:
- Architect and develop scalable and maintainable iOS features that enhance the TodayTix member experience.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring a seamless and reliable app experience for TodayTix users.
- Optimize application performance and stability, resulting in improved customer satisfaction and reduced support tickets.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the iOS development process, promoting best practices and code standards.
- Explore opportunities to integrate GenAI into our development workflows.
- Pair-program with junior iOS engineers, fostering their technical growth and contributing to the team's overall expertise.
- Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to translate business requirements into intuitive and engaging mobile experiences.
We’re Looking for Someone With:
- 5+ years of professional experience developing native iOS applications using Swift.
- A deep understanding of iOS frameworks, design patterns, and best practices.
- Proven experience in architecting, developing, and releasing complex iOS features.
- Experience building flexible and reusable UI with SwiftUI and UIKit, and ideally maintaining interoperability between the two.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party SDKs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with performance optimization and profiling tools.
- Experience contributing to backend APIs.
- Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision making.
- Experience integrating GenAI into systems and developer workflows.
