As a Software Engineer your expertise will be crucial in driving the success of our advanced software projects for hospitals and surgeons.
The first product area you will be working on is our live surgical streaming solution within the Touch Surgery iOS App. You will be working alongside a team of cross functional capabilities, with experienced iOS engineers solving working on other Touch Surgery apps.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and optimize native iOS solutions in Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit
- Work in collaboration with a cross functional team to establish project objectives and goals
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirement gathering and design to deployment and maintenance
- Utilize advanced Swift features to deliver high-quality, clean, and readable code
- Conduct system tests to ensure software application functionality and performance
- Document technical specifications, user guides, and process manuals
- Maintain continuous integration with high unit and UI test coverage
- Release the app to our users on a rota
- Teach and learn from your fellow team members.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven experience in iOS development with Swift using SwiftUI and UIKit
- Ability to establish priorities, identify and solve complex problems, challenge the status quo
- Ability to effectively communicate abstract concepts to the team
- Familiarity in code versioning tools such as Git
- Strong unit testing and debugging skills
- Proficiency in RxSwift
- Experience with Github Actions
- Understanding software architecture design patterns
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of UI testing using XCUI and understanding its importance in the development process
- Participating in cross functional team to identify requirements
- Lead development on a feature for iOS
- Identify improvements in architecture and best practices to discuss with the team
