Senior iOS Engineer

Leobit (leobit.com) is a full-cycle web and mobile application development provider for the technology companies and startups primarily located in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, and the EU. Our technology focus covers .NET, Angular, React, iOS, Android, Ruby, PHP, and a comprehensive range of other technologies from Microsoft, Web, and Mobile Stacks.
We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join our team.

Requirements:

● Five-year working experience in iOS application development with a strong track record of delivering high-quality apps
● Proficiency in Swift and deep understanding of iOS SDK, frameworks, and development best practices
● Strong experience with UIKit and SwiftUI, as well as Auto Layout for responsive UI
● Expertise in MVC or MVVM architecture to build scalable and maintainable applications
● Solid understanding of multithreading and concurrency (GCD, Operations, Combine)
● Experience integrating RESTful APIs
● Knowledge of dependency management tools (CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, Carthage)
● Strong background in unit testing and UI testing

● Experience working with Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore, Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config, etc.)

● Experience in CI/CD tools (Bitrise, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and automated build & deployment processes

● Strong understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and ability to create pixel-perfect, visually appealing UI/UX

● Familiarity with security best practices in iOS development, including secure data storage, encryption, and App Transport Security (ATS)

● Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to analyze and optimize app performance

● Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, designers, and product managers

● Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for delivering high-quality software

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science (or similar technical field)
● Level of English: Upper-Intermediate (at least)
Responsibilities:

● Design, build, and maintain high-performance applications for iOS platform
● Work on gradually improving product quality via modularization, continuous refactoring, and testing
● Maintain software documentation (diagrams, code samples, API descriptions, etc.)
● Estimate project scope using different techniques
● Submit mobile apps to store for review and beta testing
● Resolve production issues

● Maintain existing libraries

● Provide continuous integration practices on the projects

● Review design prototypes and participate in tech review design calls

● 3rd party integration
● Collect and share best practices of software development
● Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies (like SwiftUI, new iOS features, for example, Widgets, etc)
